Although he could not definitely promise, he told Mr. Curran that he would try to attend if his duties here could be so arranged. Curran, who is chairman of the Boston committee for the Patriots' day celebration, confirmed last night the report from Washington of his conference with President Coolidge, but said the President was unable to give definite assurance that it would be possible to come.
