Special Notice.
Extracts from the General Statutes of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, concerning FIREWORKS.
"Sect. 46. Whoever sells, gives away, or offers for sale, or has in his possession with intent to sell, any of the fireworks called rockets, crackers, squibs, or serpents, without leave from the Mayor or Aldermen, or Selectmen of the city or town, shall, for every such offence forfeit a sum not exceeding ten dollars."
"Sect. 47. Whoever sets fire to, or has in his possession with intent to set fire to, any rocket, squib, or serpent, or throws any lighted rocket, cracker, squib, or serpent within any city of town, without the leave of the Mayor or Aldermen, or Selectmen, shall for every offence forfeit a sum not exceeding ten dollars."
